Etleap came to be out of the frustration with how much time data wrangling takes away from the actual analysis. We were just tired of spending time building and maintaining data pipelines. Then we noticed, so is everyone else! That is why we’ve created an intuitive ETL tool that easily enables the data analysts themselves to integrate data from any source. This way data analysts can do their most significant work faster than ever before.

Now we are looking to add engineers to our core engineering team to help build the infrastructure that modern data teams depend on to create and operate their data warehouse! It shouldn’t take a CS degree to use big data effectively, and abstracting away the difficult parts is our mission.

What you are going to do:

  • Be part of the team that is building the next generation of ETL software
  • Come up with novel ideas on how to make complex technology user-friendly, and then turn those ideas into software
  • Improve the scalability, performance, and robustness of our data processing systems

  • You build robust and scalable data systems three times as fast as other developers
  • Coding in Java is second nature to you
  • You have a passion for improving data analytics
  • You’re living in or willing work in San Francisco

Big plus if you have the following:

  • Have experience with Cascading, Docker, and AWS
  • Know the ins and outs of current big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, or Flink, but this is not an absolute requirement - you’re a quick learner!

We are looking for an entrepreneurial account executive to join our sales organization and help change the way organizations build data warehouses and lakes in the cloude. The account executive will work directly with the CEO, and help close new business for Etleap by running the complete sales cycle for new deals.

We’ve created an intuitive ETL tool that enables organizations to reduce engineering cost and time to value when building data warehouses and lakes in the cloud. Unlike legacy ETL solutions, Etleap is cloud-native and doesn’t take coding skills to set up, maintain, or scale.

We have grown quickly since our public launch in 2016, and we’re ready to accelerate our growth further and move into new verticals. ETL is a $5B market today, and it’s growing quickly over the next few years.


  • Expand sales by helping grow new revenue in 2019.
  • Source, negotiate, and close deals for Etleap by working closely with our CEO and sales team.
  • Establish effective outbound prospecting process, and handle leads generated by the marketing team.


  • 2+ years of previous sales experience in the data or analytics space closing complex, enterprise SaaS contracts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. We’re building a new kind of product, and you’ll stay close to the product team and help define new product features based on customer conversations.
  • Curiosity and empathy. Understanding the customer needs at a deep level is key both for qualifying prospects and successfully selling our product.

About You

  • 3+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Managed content generation for a B2B software product
  • Experience working at a startup
  • Comfortable running both operational and digital campaigns
  • Experience managing online marketing tools and reporting, and running automated email campaigns
  • Self-starter - propose ideas rather than needing direction, with a figure-it-out attitude
  • Hands-on experience vs. being reliant on other people and contractors
  • Experimental approach, pragmatic vs. dogmatic
  • Can understand and align with business objectives, rather than getting bogged down in optimizing AdWords or search term ranking

About the Role

  • Own all marketing initiatives to drive traffic and engagement. Our inbound channel is our best source of sales leads, and it’s your job to make it even better.
  • Manage content generation, including case studies, eBooks, white papers, and our website, to support demand generation and sales efforts.
  • Run email marketing campaigns end-to-end, manage email databases, and create newsletters.
  • Manage and maintain Etleap’s website, and support SEO/SEM initiatives.
  • Actively monitor competitive product offerings to ensure ongoing differentiation.
  • Work with the Sales Director to define/communicate Etleap’s value proposition and competitive positioning to prospective customers, on both a company and a product level.

You will be working among a team of dynamic engineers in a fast-paced startup office environment. Our office is near AT&T Park at 2nd & Townsend in San Francisco. We offer catered lunch, a kitchen stocked with great snacks, as well as PTO and Health Care.
