Software Engineer

Etleap came to be out of the frustration with how much time data wrangling takes away from the actual analysis. We were just tired of spending time building and maintaining data pipelines. Then we noticed, so is everyone else! That is why we've created an intuitive ETL tool that easily enables the data analysts themselves to integrate data from any source. This way data analysts can do their most significant work faster than ever before.

Now we are looking to add engineers to our core engineering team to help build the infrastructure that modern data teams depend on to create and operate their data warehouse! It shouldn't take a CS degree to use big data effectively, and abstracting away the difficult parts is our mission.

What you are going to do:

  • Be part of the team that is building the next generation of ETL software
  • Come up with novel ideas on how to make complex technology user-friendly, and then turn those ideas into software
  • Improve the scalability, performance, and robustness of our data processing systems

What we want to see in you:

  • You love data engineering
  • You build robust and scalable data systems three times as fast as other developers
  • Coding in Java is second nature to you
  • You have a passion for improving data analytics
  • You’re living in or willing work in San Francisco
  • You’re excited to work in a scrappy environment
  • You’re down to earth and fun to be around. This is an absolute must!

Big plus if you have the following:

  • Have experience with Cascading, Docker, and AWS
  • Know the ins and outs of current big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark,
    or Flink, but this is not an absolute requirement - you're a quick learner!
  • Have startup experience

Account Executive

We are looking for our first sales hire to join our founding team and help change the way data analysts get access to their company’s data. The first sales hire will close all new business for Etleap by running the complete sales cycle for all deals. They will work directly with the CEO, help scale the sales team, and make the sales process more efficient.

We have grown quickly since our public launch in 2016, and we’re ready to accelerate our growth further and move into new verticals. ETL is a $5B market today, and it’s growing quickly over the next few years.

Responsibilities

  • Expand sales by helping grow new revenue in 2017.
  • Source, negotiate, and close all deals for Etleap by working closely with our CEO.
  • Establish effective outbound prospecting process, and handle leads generated by the marketing team.

Competencies

  • 3+ years of previous sales experience in the data or analytics space closing complex, enterprise SaaS contracts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. We’re building an new kind of product, and you’ll stay close to the product team and help define new product features based on customer conversations.
  • Curiosity and empathy. Understanding the customer needs at a deep level is key both for qualifying prospects and successfully selling our product.
  • Grit and persistence. You are not fazed by long sales cycles and follow through on commitments.

Sales Development Representative

Etleap is building a cutting-edge, software-as-a-service ETL (extract, transform, load) solution that supercharges data team productivity. With Etleap, data analysts can create and operate data warehouses at a small fraction of the typical time and cost, and unlike other ETL products, Etleap requires no coding. This is a greenfield market, and we’re growing quickly.

About you

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a top school in a technical or business discipline.
  • You’re excited about starting your career in technology sales, or looking to transition from a non-sales profession.
  • You’re ambitious and looking to grow into an account executive role.
  • You’re detail-oriented, self-driven, and resourceful.
  • You’re analytical with a "figure it out"-attitude.
  • Your oral and written communication skills are excellent.

Responsibilities

  • Build the lead database through prospecting and other means.
  • Qualify leads and nurture Etleap’s leads funnel.
  • Contact leads by email and phone, and book demo meetings for account executives.
  • Learn the product and understand the customer pain in and out so you can qualify leads and educate prospects on Etleap’s solution.
  • Work closely with marketing on projects supporting the sales team.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly leads and revenue objectives.
